Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal for extra chewiness.

Ingredients
1/2 C butter
2/3 C light brown sugar
2 C all purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 C crisco
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 C oatmeal
Instructions
Cream butter, crisco, sugar, brown sugar, egg & vanilla.
Combine flour, salt & soda; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in oatmeal & chocolate chips.
Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
