my aunts favorite brunch pie
1. In a medium bowl, mix well creamed cottage cheese and all 7 ingredients; set aside.
2. Prepare pastry crust in pie pans.
3. Spoon mixture into pastry lined springform pan. fold edges of pastry over filing. brush pastry with some beaten egg yolk. Preheat oven 375 degrees.
4. Place the second pastry crust over filing, pressing lightly around edges to seal. brush top with remaining egg yolk.
5. Bake pie 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pie in refrigerator until serving time.
7. To serve- carefully remove sides of springform pan. With a sharp knife, cute pie into wedges.
