Apple Nut Cake

A delightful cake featuring apples and nuts, topped with a rich glaze.

Ingredients

3 cups of flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups of cooking oil
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups of finely diced apples
1/2 cup of nuts
1 stick of margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

Combine flour, soda, salt, sugar and oil. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla, apples and nuts. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Pour on glaze while hot.

Combine margarine, brown sugar, and evaporated milk; boil for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over cake while hot.
