Banana Nut Bread

A deliciously moist banana nut bread perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs - unbeaten
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup mashed bananas

Instructions

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

Add shortening, eggs, chopped nuts, and mashed bananas.

Beat until ingredients are blended, about 1 minute. Scrape the bowl while beating. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour or until done. Makes 1 medium-sized loaf.
